Chatteris u3a - What's It All About?
Chatteris u3a was started in 2012 and we currently have about 150 members. The Groups page shows our present wide range of Interest Groups from Books to Wine Appreciation or Lunch Club to Walking. All groups are set up and managed by our members themselves with even some of the resulting sessions taking place in their own homes. New Interest Groups are evolving all the time with the emphasis always being on taking part and learning for fun. Chatteris u3a publishes a monthly newsletter, Chatterbox, that is distributed to all members.
A Monthly Open Meeting is held at the King Edward Community Centre in Chatteris at 10.30am on the third Friday of each month during which members are updated on local u3a matters, can have a cup of tea or coffee and then listen to an interesting and informative talk given by an invited speaker. The Open Meetings page provides information about forthcoming meetings.
Prospective New Members, if they wish, may attend a Monthly Open Meeting where they are able to get a “taste” of Chatteris u3a in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Our membership fee is £20 for a full year (1st May – 30th April of the following year), with reductions if joining later in the year. You can find out more about becoming a member of Chatteris u3a on the Join us page. For further help, you can email our Membership Secretary or any other officer by visiting the Contact Us page.
